Just a bunch of old photo's, you know the sort, bundled up in an overblown fan worshipper's package.
In fact, it looks pretty damned impressive.

Well I'll go t'foot of our stairs, I was on the 10.08 to Paddington and now I'm in Magus Perde's drawing room at midnight and Martin rips it up.
Well, so far I am really impressed, the the clarity surprises me, not sure if it is me or the crap hearing I have suffered for a couple of years, but the whole dynamic of this seems to be rebalanced, no pushing Ian to the fore on this mix, the whole range of the band is covered. I think Steve Wilson was saving it up for this one. I've still got a few things to listen too, and I wouldn't want to sound like some gushy fan, I've been critical of stuff when I need to be, but not this one. if you haven't ordered it yet go get it.
Only one listen in and I'm bloody chuffed with it. One good thing to come out of England being out of the World Cup is that I get more time to listen to this.

Only one listen in and I'm bloody chuffed with it. Good enough for me! Thanks Pat. So I take it that the saxophone has been left unharmed? Let me know what you think of Chateau ... While we await Pat's appraisal of Chateau, here's a Jeffrey Hammond painting, "Blackpool Promenade" from 2007. And the guy CAN paint!!

As much as I'm looking forward to APP, I really can't wait to hear Scenario, Audition and No Rehearsal in 5.1!

Sax is still there on APP, I'm reserving tomorrow morning for a full on onslaught of chateau, the new lyrics on the Steve W mix of APP are disconcerting, not necessarily out of place, but it is odd hearing it now after 40 years of hearing it without, it's like walking the same route all your life and then going on a (not unpleasant) detour you didn't plan for. The lyrics don't seem to flow as part of the structure, but that could be the reason why they were left out. The intro and outro video is without soundtrack and opening white dot, but it is so satisfying to see the ballerina rise again. Packaging is really nice, same size as the TaaB special edition. I certainly won't miss voting in next years PROG awards, this has to win awards hands down. I'll need to build a Tull Altar now I suppose.

Took the chateau cd out for a spin......
Bloody brilliant, Lots of new pieces, remix puts totally different emphasis on things, the new stuff, like big top and sailor, which may not be new to a lot of us, is still great to hear.
You flute and sax players out there will probably have to work on learning some new snippets.
Not sure if it's me, or the disc (probably me) but it sounds as if Ian's voice levels fluctuate a bit through scenario and audition, but that could just be my duff hearing.
Back to immersion!

I've read that "Look at the Animals" has now been inserted into "Law of the Bungle Part 1". Is that true?

Spot the difference The top one is the original, the bottom one the poorer quality copy. Really don't mind if you copy my pic but maybe if you don't credit it, you might not crop the pic to leave out the best bit. Maybe you could use your pic of your copy?

I have no idea why Look at the Animals was not released as a single. Distinctive (and rocking) chorus riff, interesting lyrics. It was my first favorite song of the Chateau cuts.

When I first heard Scenario/Audition/No Rehearsal (20th boxset 1988) I was floored that it was never released. Ian was throwing away masterpieces back then lol.. Some of that stuff is some of my favorite of all Tull.

Congratulations for the mention in APP, fantastic, and also to Pat for the brilliant interview with Jane. You guys have worked so hard in providing all JT fans with some amazing memorabilia and lots of other things and I for one appreciate it. You are all Tulltastic………….
