I think I know all of the mods already, but I thought I'd give a formal introduction!
I'm Ian Beabout and I'm a lifelong (literally) fan of Ian Anderson / Tull. At the tender age of 3, I begged my folks to take me to see Jethro Tull. We had 9th row or something like that and I've never been the same since! That was the beginning of not only my love for Tull, but for my love of music.
As a child, I was exposed to a lot of music, but my favorite albums were A Passion Play and Dark Side of the Moon. Those two records spoke to me, because they were more than music. The artwork, the concept, and the meaningful words (even if I didn't necessarily understand them at the time) seemed to make them *more* than just any other music.
I'm 21 now, have been playing flute for 10 years, and am continuing to amass a record collection of over 1,000 CDs and LPs. My favorite artists (other than Tull) are people like Zappa, King Crimson, Van der Graaf Generator, Cardiacs, Richard Thompson, Procol Harum, etc, but I have a general fondness for challenging and experimental music of any era.
As many of you know, I do broadcast a radio show called Prog Rock Deep Cuts. The details are in my signature, but I'm all about giving a voice to the artists who you don't hear from often (last week I played most of side 2 of APP on my program!).
Anyway, I've rambled on enough. Looking forward to checking out this new Tull site and of course, would be glad to help promote it in anyway I can!
