I agree. It is also one of the most sober and honest opinions on APP I've ever seen from IA.

I agree. It is also one of the most sober and honest opinions on APP I've ever seen from IA. It sounds to me like he's wanting to have it both ways. For years he denied it now he is trying to find some positives and I think that should be easy for him, some parts are uneasy making and some is the strongest stuff they ever did. He's tempering the positives with his past negative statements about the album and Prog in general (he has been voted a god! For god sake) When Ian is selling, he's selling. Which is to be expected. No sense in telling everyone of your "anal fans" that you dislike the new re-release being offered. Remember the early 90s when they returned to being a "blues band" again?! And Ian would make fun of their forays into "Prog" think Ian actually still smarts a little about APP. For my money it was a high watermark for the band. So I've learned along time ago to love what I love for my own reasons. If you read, say, the individual band members notes on each song on the SW Benefit remix you find out stuff or opinions you may not want to know about some songs that you've loved for years! Hahah. Some hated one while another was a favorite. Everyone hated "Singing all day" Ian apologized for it ! Lol. i love reading Ian's thoughts on things and this interviewer was obviously in tune with Tull so he asked all the right questions, and that's a rare interview. I'm tired of hearing how the band came to be named Jethro Tull........and that Ian's name is not. ;-) overall and on the occasion of his birthday, I think Ian is to be congratulated for remaining in the drivers seat and still able to drive and sell a record after all these years, the music business is one of the most difficult ways to make a living and Ian has thrived. So I'm not dis agreeing with you Ian B. Just adding some context, gravy and seasoning as it were. Darin Cody

Yeah great one. Are your questions the Passion Play ones? So many interviews are the same ol'.. so it's good to see something a little different. And Ian backed off from labeling his PP fans as "Anal".

Yeah great one. Are your questions the Passion Play ones? No, actually. Here are mine (in reworded format): You’ve released two albums within the last couple years, but prior to those you haven’t released any solo work in quite some time. Where did this sudden burst of productivity come from?
I’ve noticed that like many musicians in the field, you’ve avoided the “progressive rock” tag for many years, yet you seem to embrace it now. Why?
That’s also what prompted me to ask you about it. Over the years, Wilson has become a household name in the realm of genre production, remasters, and remixes, and I wonder if there are any other albums of yours that he’s working on.
I think I submitted 10 total questions and told Jordan he was welcome to use or to not use them or to reword them as he saw fit. I was honored that he chose to use three of them!
