Hello everyone, Deep Cuts #55 is now available for streaming! Join me for a special interview with composer Joee Conroy from the Kentucky-based Chamber prog group, Ut Gret! Ut Gret are a highly creative modern progressive rock band with roots dating back to the 70s, with influences including Fred Frith (Henry Cow), King Crimson, Pentangle, Gong and others! On this special interview, I converse with Joee in a very personal and informal manner, discussing such topics as Joee's influences, the dedication it takes to maintain a modern progressive rock band, and Joee's experiences with the legendary Giorgio Gomelsky, band manager and concert promoter known for his work with The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Magma, Gong, and Soft Machine. Also on the program, I'll have some new music from Belgian chamber rock group, Aranis and their new record, Made in Belgium II, some brand new live Necromonkey recorded on their recent Eastern US tour, as well music from Gentle Giant, Discipline, Alec K. Redfearn and the Eyesores, The Knells, and Frogg Cafe. www.mixcloud.com/progrockdeepcuts/prog-rock-deep-cuts-55/
